| Looking for more Asian art with birds? See more here | |  One of the things we love about our home at 432 Country View Drive is all the birds. Lush trees make for privacy in the yard and they are perfect homes for a great variety of birds. Gold Finches, Robins, Red Winged Black Birds, Mocking Birds, Blue Jays, Cardnails, Wood Peckers... these are just some of the species we see regularly. An experienced birder could certainly recognize more.
What's even better is the continuous chorus of birds songs. We hear more species than we see. Sitting out on the deck on an early spring morning is an incredible treat as all the birds seek to establish their new seasonal boundaries with their captivating songs.
There are too many to keep track so in this section of the web site we have put together some books to help you spot, with both your eyes and ears, which birds are inhabiting the woods each season.
We also included some of our bird influenced art pieces from Asia for your consideration. Birds play a big role in much of Chinese art as they symbolize part of the Taoist Yin and Yang as well as happiness, prosperity and harmony.
