This is a laminate in the sense that it is not just plain paper, but not laminated in the way most people consider. The map is not the standard piece of paper that has been taken to Kinkos and had nice thick plastic heated on both sides. Instead it is some sort of paper/plastic material. I purchased this to be able to mark on it with a dry erase marker and then erase and mark other things. As of yet I have not marked on it because I am afraid it will not come off since it is not laminated like normal. I guess this is why it is cheaper than some other "laminated" maps. It is still a good looking map and seems pretty durable.

The map is great but the "Lamination" is very cheap and flimsy. It gets the job done but I'm going to be careful in the future and make sure I buy a map that is more durable, Sturdy and actually laminated and not thin "Plastic-ish" paper.

Took ages to arrive and even though it was rolled in a tube it wasn't rolled very well and consequently looks as though it is folded. I've had it laid out flat for a week now but it's still creased.
Actual image is great though and it's really large.

This map is exactly what I was looking for. It is very big and covers my wall at work where I will be planning out my travels for work. It took too long to be delivered, though.
