OK set of speakersMar 16, 2006

The speakers are decent. Good quality and sleek.
The sound is not great though as it distorts at high volumes. The high range and mid range sounds are pretty good but it totally lacks low range output. Be advised that there is absolutely no bass whatsoever. But all said and done its an OK set for the $10 price.

Decent sound, notable design flawApr 28, 2007
By Pace I bought these for listening to music at work and for that, the sound is fine. I'm not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination so I can't comment extensively on the quality, of course I have a feeling if you're an audiophile you're not looking at these speakers.
I have two issues with these, though, that you should know before you purchase:
1) Plugging headphones into the jack on the speaker creates a quite noticeable hiss, regardless of speaker volume. So if you're listening at a low volume with headphones on, the hiss will be overbearing.
2) In other 2 speaker setups, the speaker with the controls is also the one with cables (power and input). Not so with these; the "satellite" speaker is the one with the power cord. If you keep your computer near your power supply this is going to pose a problem for you. I had to use an extension cord just to plug the the speakers in.
Even if I had known about those flaws I probably would buy them, but I'd certainly be happier if they weren't a surprise.

Good PriceJun 14, 2007
By greenmantis It doesn't have that much bass and distorts when you crank it. But it was cheap, sleek looking, and used for an office application. So if fits perfectly for the price. If I wanted some thump then I would have bought a 5.1 system. You pay for what you get and this is a bargain for the price.

Better than originalsMay 04, 2007
By A. Lucas These speakers wont blow your head off but they sound good. I like the headphone feature and the fact you don't need an adapter, just plug em in. They look good with your computer and don't take up much room. GOOD VALUE.....

AlrightJul 16, 2007
By Ferdi B After reading the reviews of other shoppers, I got my hopes up a bit too high. The speakers are alright, but they do sound dull. It's not a crisp sound, and because you can't change the settings, you pretty much just have what you get... But then again, can you expect more for less than $20?
