Great printer for the money.....Jul 17, 2007
By Chiyoko If you are looking for a high quality printer, keep looking. But, if you are looking for a good all-in-one printer with this price range, you will be happy with this. The printer is very easy to use & it is quiet.
I recommend going to a store with your memory card & good quality photo paper. So, you will know exactly what your pictures look like.
I am very happy with this HP & will recommend it.

Lots of features for a good price!Jul 06, 2007

We just bought this to replace our old HP All-in-One. Printers have come a long way in just a couple years. It prints quietly and quickly with excellent quality.
The CD/DVD printer option is a nice add-on not usully found in this price range.
But the photo printer option is where this printer really excels. Pop in your memory card and the LCD screen will allow you to view, sort, and edit the photos on your disk. You can crop rotate and reduce red-eye, all on the printer itself. The photo quality isn't as good as a stand alone printer (I'm going to hold onto my Kodak Printer Dock for now) but it is certainly one of the better inkjets I've used.
All-in-all, this printer does a lot for the $150 price tag!

Dont pass this one up!!Aug 14, 2007
By R. Lopez My previous HP printer died...So, i was not really interested in another model of HP printer...but, this one received decent reviews, and I like the fact that it only take two cartridges (Very inexpensive $17.99 & $14.99 at office max) So, i took a chance....and boy, its OUTSTANDING SO FAR!
One thing to consider when purchasing a printer, how many cartridges does it take? The price can really hit your budget if you do a lot of printing like i do. Also, If you get yourself a router you can set up a home network and attach several computers to it, i did!
Pros - Quiet, very inexpensive cartridges, easy set up, bright crystal clear print jobs, and very sleek and attrative.
Cons - No USB printer cable included (not a problem if your replacing an existing printer)
all in all, very please so far, and i do use it often for personal and home office use.
Highly recommended!

Does the jobJan 28, 2008
By KRASSEL This is not a high end all in one, and the price reflects that. That being said it does a pretty good job for what it is. We bought this to replace an aging HP all in one that is huge compared to this model. We wanted a flatbed scanner and a better method of printing cd labels. We are in the midst of a loooong project of coverting vinyl records to cd's and the stick on labels are a real drag. This printer does a great job of getting the print on the cd where you want it. The roxio program is not the best, but it does work, and we are doing so many we have come up with a standard background and just change the playlist for each copy. We have printed a few pictures on photo paper and the quality is good enough for photo album prints. I'd agree about taking them to a professional lab if you are going to frame them or buy a high end photo printer. We don't frame many pics so the cost of a good photo printer would not be worth it to us. All in all this is a very good printer for the cost. The scan, copy features work well and the onboard photo program will get the job done. I do like being able to print from memory cards and the process is fairly simple and easy to use. I would recommend this printer if you need a good all in one at a reasonable cost, and don't expect studio quality photo printing.

Superb All-In-One + Disc PrinterDec 11, 2007

Before I bought this All-In-One (AIO), I read all the reviews I could find. Although the scores were quite good, the reviews stated that 1) the printed text -- on plain paper -- was less than desired and 2) the AIO was especially noisy. Then I saw this product in a store, tried it out, and decided to buy it based on in-store results. To nobody's surprise, I found that the two specific faults in the reviews were totally untrue (when you read them all, as I did, you'll find that there are really only two reviews republished over and over by the review web sites)! Bottom Line: This is an excellent AIO: text is crisp and it's not very noisy at all. And here's a pleasant surprise for Mac users: although a separate Roxio application disc is included for printing on disc with Windows, printing on disc with the Mac is accomplished with the built-in HP software (not readily apparent, but a call to HP settled this one)! It also does a great job printing on disc with BeLight's Disc Cover. And everyone knows that cheap, plain paper should not be used for text with inkjet printers, right? A better-grade paper provides superb text print results.
