Orquesta Sensacion "La Cumbancha"Jun 13, 2009
This unique album contains some of the early Orquesta Sensacion's of Rolando Valdes' hit recordings such as "Seven Boy", "Los Tamalitos de Olga" and also some of Sensacion's recordings with Cuba's great sonero Cheo Marquetti in Chano Pozo's "Ariñañara" and "Elube Chango". These two hit recordings alone "are worth the ticket" as the late Al Santiago would say. I highly recommend the acquisition of this great and historic compilation,
featuring old time,musicians like Rolando Valdes, Orquesta Sensacion's creator and director on chorus and guiro,composer Juan Pablo Mirando on flute, Cheo Junco in some of the choruses,Rodolfo Reina and Celso Valdes (the latter of Orquesta Aragon fame)on violins, "El Piche"Santacruz on congas, Jesus Esquijarosa on timbales, etc. A must have for all cuban charanga fans.
